Stranger Things is one of Netflix’s most successful ventures into original programming and has garnered both popular and critical acclaim for its nostalgic 1980s aesthetic and Spielberg inspired narrative. This festive, 1980s themed conference seeks to explore the show’s wider significance within the canon of cult television, with papers exploring nostalgia, contextualisation, trans-mediality, gender, identity and place.
