We founded the international media and nostalgia network in July 2015 during the IAMHIST conference (Indiana University). Our approaches to media and nostalgia are transdisciplinary as we all are scholars from different fields in humanities and social sciences. What brings us together is the common research interest in media and nostalgia. Maintaining the connection between us and finding new linkages to others is the core idea of this network. We are aiming at creating a platform on which scholars working on media and nostalgia come together to exchange thoughts, inspire and support each other and collaborate on publications and projects. Hence, we do not want to limit the access to the network by defining a certain type of research on media and nostalgia but endorse a broad and inclusive understanding.
